Database Systems

The course is designed as a basic database course, in which the emphasis is mainly on the ability to independently design a data model, master the SQL language and the ability to choose the appropriate degree of isolation of transactions. Students will also get acquainted with the most commonly used indexing techniques, database system architecture and their management. They will verify their knowledge during the elaboration of an independent task, which will be checked during the semester in two checkpoints.
